Help support Ulamas of India in crisis due to effects of the Coronavirus lockdown
Ulamas teaching our children Quran and Deeniyat in the remote villages of India have had no wages at all for the past few months due to the coronavirus lockdown. They are now in such poverty whereby they are in the position of being eligible for taking zakat to feed themselves and their families, that’s just to survive.
For the sake of Deen, they have been giving service to the poor and deprived children for many years in remote villages on nominal wages. They have given sacrifice for years, living in conditions that we would not be able to imagine. Due to these circumstances, they are unable to teach, receive a wage, and apart from their current living conditions, are struggling to acquire even the basics of necessary foods. They are now in need of our help and support more than ever in these difficult times.
£50 will feed an aalim and his family for a month.
£300 will feed an aalim and his family for 6 months.
They are now pleading to us to give whatever we can in Lillah, Sadaqah & Zakat.
