We take this opportunity to present the reader with a brief illustration of the major activities and events that form part of Zakariyya Masjid’s wide agenda in serving both the Muslim as well as the non-Muslim communities through its numerous diverse efforts and endeavors.

Over a number of years, the image of Zakariyya Masjid has improved substantially to become a focal community serving chamber with dedication, passion and commitment and concern bringing about changes of service with changes of time and circumstances. Opening the doors to people of all faith from the public who most want to know more about Muslims and Islam, a grass root level effort to seek out dialogue with other faith groups in order to build trust and understanding and improve tolerance at the local level.

The past decade has given rise to interest towards Islam and the Muslim community thus the number of schools, churches, colleges, organization and groups requests to visit to Zakariyya Jaam’e Masjid has exceedingly increased. The Masjid has adopted a very welcoming approach to such requests and has hosted visits from diverse groups, organizations, and institutions.

Zakariyya Jaam’e Masjid is popular in the ranks of regular Musalles for helping them with queries on Islam and general understanding of life through the facility of asking Imaam online service. Many questions are posted or hand delivered to the management on such topics which the mosque can assist and support.

Greater Manchester Police are one of the many other organisations who acquired community insight through Zakariyya Jaame Masjid’s assistance and service. The Masjid committee members and the Imam have also been sent out to assist with individual cases.

We host Regular Programmes, Community Events and Conferences, particularly for the Youth.

Zakariyya Jaam’e Masjid runs a well-established Madrasah, Madrasah Khaliliyah Rashidiya, providing a vital community education programme for the children of the local and surrounding communities.

We provide a number of educational programmes for the community through the entire week. (See Activities)

The classes are open to all of the Muslim Community of Bolton irrespective of residential location, age, previous educational knowledge or gender.
